Good Luck Mel

Hi Everyone.
I have some rather sad news. Mel has decided to leave Safari TV. As much as he loved the work and living with the team, he realised that he much prefers the hustle and bustle of city life.
To be very honest, we had hoped he would be able to stay with us for a while longer, but he received a last minute job interview with a strong chance of a job close to his family in Durban and needed to go Durbs urgently to ensure he got the job. So he left this morning.
As much as I understand and respect his need to be close to his family, he will be sadly missed. Not only as a very able technician but as a great guy to have around and a very popular member of the team. The abiding memory I have of him, is of a guy laughing and joking over dinner last week, joking about Hermans new hair cut.
Although his departure was all a bit last minute, we he had tried to say good bye last evening on the FSC, but as you know power cuts prevented that from happening.
However on behalf of all the team at Safari and I'm sure all extended family, Good Luck Mel, it's been a pleasure to work with you and we wish you and your family the very best for the future.
